The who and why of it all

Trying different ways to optimise life health and happiness by eating real food and bulding strength. I used to have migraines every fortnight that would put me out for days. I ate a lot of sugar in it's classic sweet form and in its filling bread/pasta form. I was always tired and weak but never overweight- so I never questioned my diet. Until someone else did. Now I barely ever get migraines, I am strong and getting stronger. I am more active than I have ever been.

Food porn

So here are some photos of the food I have been enjoying since starting my Paleo journey. I hope to update this blog more regularly with food photos and start adding the recipes :-) I have made some of these up and also found inspiration and recipes online in some of the wonderful Paleo blogs out there. Above is obviously burgers..mmmm.
Well scroll down and check it out!

Steak and roasted okra and carrot.
Breakfast! Lamb mince stuffed capsicum with sour cream (I am currently dairy free- miss the sour cream on this it was an awesome addition).
 Seafood chowder... surprisingly good!
Always been a pancake lover- I make paleo pancake breakfast every 3 weeks or so.
Sashimi after the soccer game- really hit the spot.
Bakk wa, with out the sugar- added a little bit of honey though.

Chucked this together with left over stuffed chicken breast- wrapped it in bacon and served with wilted spinach and toast pinenuts- yum yum.
Happy breakfast- Veggie hashes with scrambled eggs and sausage.
Suze's Cow Tongue extravanganza! Slices of cow tongue battered in almond flour and fried off.
 Paleo McMuffin
Pork and Apple Lunch- cooked up in coconut milk mmmmm love this one.
 Making Lard
 Paleo "bread" with almond meal.
Sweet and sour fish with some roasted beetroot.
Lamb Liver Pate- ghee topping.

Well, there you have it. I think we have started off pretty good with the paleo food. As I find more and more food to cook up I will start adding our favourite recipes. Things tend to need "tweeking" but I like to experiment with food. I hope to add the food porn more regularly.
